Excel Lasers is committed to helping medical and veterinary practitioners successfully integrate lasers into their clinical practice to deliver the best outcomes for their patients. Founded in 2012 by laser manufacturing engineers David Flood and Steve Hayden, Excel Lasers provides its customers with an exceptional level of service underpinned by the team’s deep expertise in the field.
MEET THE FOUNDERS
Steve Hayden
Steve Hayden has over 40 years experience as a design and manufacturing engineer, more than 20 of them spent developing medical devices and consumables with compliance to relevant, regulatory standards. Before setting up Excel Lasers in 2012 he held senior engineering roles at pioneering medical laser firm, Diomed, and its successor, AngioDynamics.
David Flood
David Flood is a laser and optics engineer who has spent over 40 years specialising in the manufacturing of devices for medical and veterinary use. David managed the manufacture of laser optics for Diomed (inventor of the medical diode laser) and later designed units for AngioDynamics. David is also a laser safety expert and works to both ISO and FDA quality standards.
