All our fibres have a silica core with an outer cladding and protective buffer and provide excellent power transmission. Each is fitted with an SMA905 connector for compatibility with most diode lasers. All fibres are boxed in multiples of five with a discount for volumes of ten or greater.
Flat-tip
Available in 400 µm and 600 µm core sizes with a bare, flat-tip. These fibres are suited for coagulating or vapourising tissue in non-contact surgery, and incising and excising with haemostasis in contact mode.
Conical-tip
Available in 600 µm core size with a tip size of 300µm. Conical fibres are used where a narrow or precise incision/excision with haemostasis is required. Typical applications are endometrial ablation and coloproctology.
Radial
Available in 600µm core size with a 1.6 mm diameter atraumatic rounded tip. The radial fibre delivers energy evenly in one plane through 360º. Applications include endovascular surgery and treatment of anal fistulas.
Getting the right safety eyewear is critical when using lasers. All our eyewear is tested and certified to EN 207 and comes in a wide range of filters and frame styles.
The administration of tumescent anaesthesia before ablation and continuously during the EVLA procedure is a proven method of reducing a patient’s pain and discomfort. This can be done either using a Nouvag DP30 infiltration pump, controlled by the physician, or with a hand-operated self-filling syringe system.
Nouvag DP30 Infiltration Pump
A Nouvag DP30 infiltration pump gives the physician total control of the output through a foot pedal. For high volume users, this is an economical, low-maintenance option.
Supplied with bottle holder, foot pedal and tubing. Spare tubing kits are also available in packs of 10.
EVLA Auto-fill Syringe
This easy-to-use system delivers tumescent anaesthetic without the need to manually reload the syringe. The kit includes self-loading syringe with IV feed, spike and three-way check valve
Packaged in sets of 5 units.
The SAFE™ System surgical smoke evacuator from Edge Systems removes the plume created by laser, Airplasma and electrocautery treatment. Although the system itself is longer available to purchase, the filters are still available from Excel Lasers.

General Handpieces
To support our fibres we distribute a range of reusable/autoclavable handpieces. These are designed to aid access to the treatment site and give precise control of the fibre tip.
Specialist Handpieces
In some situations our general purpose handpieces cannot provide adequate access to the treatment area, typically in ENT surgery and coloproctology. These cases demand the use of a specialist item. Our handpieces are made in the UK to special order and Excel Lasers can also work in conjunction with the user and manufacturer to develop a custom solution.
